Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a Neuroimaging Scientist to advance neuroimaging research using high performance computing, data science and cyberinfrastructure. You will work with the Neuroimaging Technology Research Center to integrate imaging data with behavioral and physiological monitoring, leveraging neuromodulation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a computing/data science or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HPC, data science or CI environments.
• Experience interfacing with management and writing grant proposals.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, develops, debugs and evaluates HPC/data science/CI software and related hardware.
• Collaborates with faculty to build software tools for neuroimaging research.
• Constructs data pre-processing pipelines for raw data preparation.
• Develops plans and performs performance testing and optimization.
• Maintains data management systems for MRI/fMRI/DTI data.
• Publishes results and contributes to research proposals and grant applications.
• Provide technical leadership for multi-institutional data science projects.
