Description

Summary:

Perform EEGs, Nerve Conduction Studies, EMGs, and related exams within the department with minimal supervision. The EEG tech is responsible for physician billing for the department. Assist physicians with preliminary reports and during interpretation. Provide friendly and helpful assistance in other areas of the department when available.

Responsibilities:

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Perform EEGs, evoked potential studies in the lab and at the bedside of critically ill patients in ICU under the supervision of the lab supervisor.
• Perform video/EEG monitoring, ambulatory monitoring, and less complicated intraoperative monitoring under supervision.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• High School Diploma required

Experience

• 3 - 5 years of experience preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification required
