Job summary

CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital seeks a skilled EEG technician to perform EEGs, evoked potentials, and related studies under supervision. The role includes bedside monitoring in ICU, ambulatory monitoring, and intraoperative monitoring when needed.

The technician also assists with preliminary reports and physician billing, contributing to efficient workflow and patient care. Multiple shifts are available for a full-time position within the department, with responsibilities expanding to other areas

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3–5 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Summary

With minimum supervision performs EEG's, Nerve Conduction Studies, EMG's, and related exams within the department. The EEG tech is also responsible for the physician billing for the department. Assist physicians with preliminary reports and during interpretation. Assist in other areas of the department, when available, in a friendly and helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Under the supervision of the lab supervisor, performs EEG's evoked potential studies in the lab and at the bedside of critically ill patients in ICU.
• Under supervision, performs video/EEG monitoring, ambulatory monitoring, and less complicated intraoperative monitoring.

• High School Diploma required

• 3 – 5 years of experience preferred

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
