Growing Neurodiagnostics department looking for a registered technologist to join our EEG team. Duties would include EEG diagnostic testing, LTM, ambulatory EEG, and working various shifts in the EMU. The position may have cross-training to Evoked Potential procedures or select IOM. Call shifts are required and shared between the team staff.

Job Description
Understands the testing equipment in detail, including its structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance procedures. Understands and is able to apply principles of anatomy and physiology, normal and abnormal, related to procedures performed. Possesses working knowledge of the disease and pathological conditions encountered. May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for patients.
Qualifications
High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Graduated from an approved program of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred. Experience in the area of specialty or applicable healthcare experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, general knowledge of electroencephalography (EEG) and evoked potentials (EP) instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions is required. Completion of department approved training program is required.
Required credentials of one or more of the following: Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT), Registered Evoked Potentials Technologist (REPT), Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologists (R.NCS.T). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
