Job summary

Franciscan Health Crown Point is seeking a qualified EEG/neurodiagnostic technologist to perform EEG and related testing on site. You will document patient history, tailor procedures to referrals, and ensure safe, accurate test execution in a Catholic health system environment.

The role requires CPR, R EEG T, and prefers EPT or NCST credentials. Travel is rarely required, and the team emphasizes safety, documentation, and ongoing performance improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years electro neurodiagnostic experience preferred.
• CPR is required.
• Registered Electroencephalogram Technologist (R. EEG T) required.
• Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (R. EPT) preferred or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R. NCST) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Environment safety: provide a safe procedural environment and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Documentation and reporting: document and report critical test results to the interpreting physician.
• Medical history and symptom documentation: record pertinent patient medical history and current medications.
• Procedure customization: tailor the END recording procedure per referral evaluation or patient history.
• Artifact documentation: differentiate artifacts from cerebral or peripheral nerve responses and troubleshoot causes.
• Disinfection: sanitize testing room, equipment and supplies per policy.
• Procedures documentation: log, charge and distribute procedures to the interpreting physician.
• Performance improvement: identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Contraindications: assess contraindications to testing or monitoring protocols.
• Testing: conduct EEG and other neurodiagnostic testing as age-appropriate.
• On-call rotation: participate in on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays.
