Job summary

Healthier Mississippi People seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to record brain and nervous system activity using EEG, NCS, SSEP, BAEP, and VEP. You will train junior technologists and support the department’s diagnostic processes.

Applicants should have a degree in Neurodiagnostics with EEG/EMG experience and relevant ABRET/AAET registrations or equivalents. You will work with patients, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain equipment in a clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with two years in Neurodiagnostics (EEG/EMG).
• ABRET, AAET, or equivalent registration/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with patients and explain procedures.
• Obtain and record patient medical history.
• Record electrical potentials and interpret responses for neurologist review.
• Maintain and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Perform long-term EEG/video monitoring and transcribe data.
• Train subordinates and promote safety and infection control practices.
