Position Summary Orlando Health is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. Under the direction of the Neurodiagnostic Manager, you will perform electroneurodiagnostic testing in various modalities such as Nerve Conductions, Electroencephalograms (EEGs), and Evoked Potentials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in EEGs and at least two additional modalities, including long-term EEG, ambulatory EEG, nerve conduction studies, evoked potentials, or intraoperative brain mapping.
Education/Training
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an AMA-accredited program in Electroencephalographic Technology, Electrodiagnostics, or Electroneurodiagnostics.
- One year of clinical experience in the electroneurodiagnostic field may substitute for training.
Licensure/Certification
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification required.
Experience
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in the electroneurodiagnostic field.
Essential Functions
- Perform neurological procedures independently.
- Greet patients and explain testing procedures.
- Handle all aspects of study completion, including patient history, paperwork, and equipment setup.
- Troubleshoot equipment and maintain inventory.
- Possess the skills necessary to care for patients of all ages.
- Stay updated on current practices and techniques.
- Take on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure punctual attendance in line with Orlando Health policies.
- Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.
