Overview

The Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist is responsible for conducting routine and special END procedures, including Electroencephalogram (EEG), Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Velocity (EMG/NCV), Autonomic Function Testing (AFT), Evoked Potentials (EP), Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (INM), and Long Term Monitoring for Epilepsy (LTM).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for and perform routine END procedures.
• Perform END tests in accordance with established department protocols.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean, calibrated, and in working order.
• Initiate opportunities for self‑development and professional competency enhancement.
• Perform additional job functions as assigned or requested.

Education & Formal Training Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of related work experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association.

Physical Demands

May require scheduled nights, holidays, and weekend on‑call availability. The position involves physical activities such as crawling, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Duties may require exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally or 25 lbs. of force frequently. Requires close visual acuity, color discrimination, and field of vision for patient assessment and data analysis. Includes frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact, exposure to body fluids, hazardous or poisonous materials, and the ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
