Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from ABRET Neurodiagnostic program, or an Associates degree or higher in health care/science, or Training in EEG with ABRET eligibility.
• One year EEG experience, including student clinical rotation.
• Pediatric EEG experience preferred.
• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider.

• Performs EEG procedures appropriate to the competence and credentials of Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG T., R. EEG T.).
• Maintains continuing education and competencies; acquires new competencies relative to industry standards in Neurodiagnostics.
• Participates in orienting and mentoring new team members and working with EEG students.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Position Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I, is a mid-level position in the Neurodiagnostic department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I performs routine and complex EEGs procedures according to facility policy and procedures; maintains patient safety during clinically significant events, and other related duties. Communication skills and team work are essential for this position. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I works under the clinical and technical supervision of the Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist and department Manager.

Position Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required

Enrollment in or graduation from an ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) Neurodiagnostic (END) Program, or, An Associates degree or higher from an accredited college or university in health care/science, or, Training in EEG at an accredited Health Care Facility and eligible for the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (ABRET) EEG board exam

Experience

One year EEG experience, which may include student clinical rotation.

Preferred

Pediatric EEG experience

Special Skills

Well-developed pc and Microsoft Windows knowledge
