This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring technical quality, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
Under the direction of the Nurse Director and Neurodiagnostic Manager, the Neurodiagnostic Services Supervisor 2 leads Neurodiagnostic Services, overseeing technologists performing routine and complex EEG procedures for inpatient populations across all age groups. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring technical quality, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
The Supervisor coordinates daily workflow, supervises and trains staff, and maintains clinical proficiency by performing neurodiagnostic procedures as needed. Responsibilities include staff orientation and development, equipment oversight and troubleshooting, and evaluation of new technologies to support high‑quality patient care.
This role serves as a key resource for physicians, staff, patients, and the community, and partners with leadership to support program development, quality improvement, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. The Supervisor also contributes to personnel management, quality assurance, and the operational and financial performance of Neurodiagnostic Services. Services include electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials (EPs), nerve conduction studies (NCS), long‑term monitoring (LTM), ICU/continuous EEG (cEEG), and intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM).

The Clinical Neurodiagnostic Department at UC Davis Health consists of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Neurodiagnostic Services, managed jointly by the Neurodiagnostic Services Manager, Nurse Manager, and the Medical Director to provide Neurodiagnostic Services to UC Davis Health systems.
