Duke Health's Neurodiagnostic Lab in Durham, NC seeks a Medical Assistant to support neurologists, technologists and nursing staff in patient examinations, testing, and data collection. You will prepare rooms, assist with EEGs/EMGs, and help maintain supplies.

This role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (and certification within 18 months), high school diploma, BLS, and at least six months healthcare experience.

Competenze

• Patient experience in neurological settings or with distressed patients.
• Sterile technique and familiarity with neurodiagnostic procedures (EEG, EMG).
• Ability to position patients and work with diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication to explain procedural setups to patients.

Mansioni

• Assist neurology staff in examination and treatment of patients.
• Set up and maintain neurodiagnostic rooms and equipment.
• Prepare specimens and support routine testing and data collection.
