Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EMG and prepare patients for Nerve Conduction studies. You will ensure patient safety, accuracy of records, and smooth operation of testing procedures in the Neurology department.

Ideal candidates have strong anatomy knowledge, proficiency with testing equipment, and excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages and with physicians and staff across departments.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of anatomy and technology used in EMG and Nerve Conduction studies.
• Computer skills to interact with testing systems.
• Ability to care for neonates to geriatrics.
• Resource for physicians and staff.
• Strong communication and patient-safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Performs EMG on adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients as ordered by physician.
• Prepares patients for Nerve Conduction studies and handles follow-up documentation.
• Maintains accurate records for patient care and charging.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are ready for testing and quality recordings.
• Acts as a resource for other departments and contacts for neurodiagnostic testing issues.
