Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking an EEG Technician to perform electroencephalograph and neurodiagnostic exams under physician orders, supervised by the department manager. You will document orders, schedule patients, prepare them for procedures, and ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care, equipment maintenance, and possible supervisory tasks as needed to support patient experiences and team growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; minimum three years related experience with an accredited neurodiagnostic program or five years' experience without degree.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Eligible to take the National Registry exam.

Responsibilities

• Receive and document physician orders, scheduling patients, obtaining medical history, and completing documentation.
• Preparing patients, explaining procedures, measuring electrode sites, applying electrodes, and making adjustments.
• Performing advanced neurodiagnostic tests, maintaining equipment, and making minor adjustments.
• Potentially scheduling staff, assisting the manager, and performing entry-level supervisory tasks.
• Ensuring safety and adherence to policies, managing supplies, and maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Supporting professional growth through continuing education, serving as a mentor, and fostering team development.
• Providing compassionate, personalized care, and modeling service standards to ensure safe, caring, and efficient patient experiences.
