Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an EEG Technician PRN to perform EEG studies, EMGs, and evoked potentials under the manager of Non-Invasive Cardiology/Neurodiagnostics. This role requires hospital experience and adherence to standards with emphasis on patient safety and data accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, an AMA neurodiagnostics or medical assistant program, and registry preferred; CPR certification is also valued, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of AMA neurodiagnostics or medical assistant program preferred.
• Minimum of one year hospital experience performing neurodiagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEG studies, EMGs, evoked potentials, epilepsy studies and related exams.
• Demonstrates technical proficiency for basic digital EEG and leads setup using the 10-20 system.
• Sets up long-term EEG studies and ambulatory EEG, transfers data to reading station for interpretation.
• Assists physicians with EMGs, prepares rooms, and trains for evoked potentials (VERs, BAERs, SSEPs).
• Maintains lab cleanliness, ensures safety protocols, and monitors supplies and equipment.
