Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is seeking an experienced EEG Technologist II/Supervisor to lead the EEG program. You will design orientation for new staff, oversee training, and coordinate quality assurance activities to ensure educational standards are met.

You will supervise scheduling, maintain equipment, liaise with Clinical Engineering and vendors, provide ongoing staff development, and participate in rotating weekday/weekend/holiday shifts in a fast-paced neurodiagnostic

Qualifications

• Registration in 1 modality required, such as EEG (R. EEG T.)
• Supervisory or clinical teaching experience preferred; effective teaching skills are required.
• Experience with EEG setup, evaluation including outpatient/inpatient EEG monitoring.
• Familiarity with EEG software recommended e.g. XLTEK and Persyst
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Designs and executes area orientation and education of new staff to the department.
• Oversees new employees’ orientation and trains in accordance with department policies.
• Coordinates quality assurance activities for staff education and effectiveness.
• Coaches and facilitates clinical advancement of students and staff.
• Provide rotational shift coverage for Neurodiagnostic Tech III staffing.
• Performs all duties of an EEG Technologist II.
• Manage EEG Technologist schedules and daily operations.
• Maintain EEG labs equipment and liaise with Clinical Engineering and vendors.
