Job summary
Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC seeks a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) team. You will provide advanced neurocritical care alongside neurointensivists and surgeons in a high-acuity setting focused on innovation and outcomes.
Work includes 13-hour shifts, rotating weekends/holidays, 40 hours per week, and opportunities for professional development, sign-on where eligible, and comprehensive
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current North Carolina NP or PA license, or eligibility for licensure.
- National certification (ACNP, AGACNP, or NCCPA).
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill neurologic patients.
- Manage stroke, intracranial events, seizures, and neurocritical conditions.
- Monitor neuromonitoring modalities and collaborate with neuroteams.
- Coordinate transitions of care and participate in quality improvement.
