Job summary

HCA Houston Clear Lake in Webster, Texas is seeking a neurocritical care intensivist to support a future Neuro ICU expansion and provide expert care within a dedicated 18-bed unit.

The role includes day shifts with neuro coverage call from home, participation in GME teaching across residencies, and collaboration with a 3 Physicians/2 APP daytime team and 2 Physicians at night. Excellent benefits accompany a W2 employed position.

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible in Neurocritical Care
• Completion of NeuroCritical Care Fellowship
• Texas licensure or ability to obtain
• Ability to work full time: 15 (12-hour) shifts per month
• Day shifts with neuro coverage call from home
• Support a new 18-bed dedicated Neuro ICU

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in a Neuro ICU with daily coverage
• Deliver teaching to IM, Surgical, EM residents and future PCCM fellows
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs on patient care
• Support ICU expansion staffing and project planning

Qualified Candidates and Responsibilities

• Board certified/board eligible Neurocritical Care
• Completion of NeuroCritical Care Fellowship
• TX Licensure or ability to obtain
• Ability to work full time: 15 (12-hour) shifts per month
• Day shifts only with neuro coverage call from home
• Support a new 18 bed dedicated Neuro ICU
• Staffing model: 3 Physicians and 2 APPs during the day, 2 Physicians at night with residents on both shifts
• Four ICU Units: MICU, Neuro, CVICU, CCU
• Clinical teaching responsibilities to support a robust GME program: IM, Surgical, EM residencies and future PCCM and Critical Care Fellowships
