Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced healthcare administrator to plan, implement, and evaluate the administrative and clinical activities for an assigned program team. You will direct a multidisciplinary group to ensure high-quality patient care, develop workflows, and align operations with hospital goals.

The role emphasizes budgeting, policy development, staff orientation, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and collaboration with clinical faculty.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in nursing, hospital admin, business admin, or related field.
  • Current licensure relevant to the professional discipline.
  • Three years of clinical experience in the area of expertise.
  • Supervisory skills to plan, assign, and evaluate staff.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodology and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Oversee the delivery of patient care by staff within the department.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for the department.
  • Schedule resources to provide cost-effective patient care.
  • Develop departmental policies and orientation for staff.
  • Lead quality improvement and safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate staff representation on hospital task forces and committees.
  • Collaborate with clinical faculty on student experiences.
  • Lead new department openings with efficient workflows.
