Job summary

MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute in Old Brooklyn, OH is seeking an RN to join the 6N spinal cord injury unit. You will deliver comprehensive inpatient rehab nursing care for SCI patients, including ventilator/trach support, wound prevention, and SCI retraining.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional recovery and discharge planning. A BSN is preferred; Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an eligible program.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification or willing to obtain within 90 days.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care for SCI patients on the 6N unit.
• Coordinate ventilator/trach care and rehab plans.
• Monitor wounds and support rehabilitation progress.
• Educate patients and families on rehab goals and routines.
