Job summary

MetroHealth's Rehabilitation Institute - Old Brooklyn is seeking registered nurses for the Neuro Trauma Recovery Spinal Cord Injury Unit (6N). This inpatient unit specializes in SCI, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex orthopedics, and is widely recognized for patient-centered care.

Shift is 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays. Bi-weekly hours are 72. Up to 10,000 sign-on for experienced RNs and 5,000 for new grads. MetroHealth offers strong benefits and OPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient RN care on the Neuro Trauma Recovery SCI Unit (6N).
• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver ventilator/trach care and SCI retraining.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation plans.
