Job summary

Charles River Analytics, a GRVTY company, is seeking an Applied Scientist to advance neuro-symbolic AI, combining deep learning with symbolic reasoning, Bayesian ideas, and program synthesis. You will work with researchers, engineers, and subject-matter experts to build deployable AI solutions with national security impact.

You will design and optimize AI systems, collaborate with teams, and contribute to reports and conference papers while engaging with customers and leading R&D programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
• 3+ years experience building ML/AI systems or completed graduate degree with research in ML/AI systems.
• Moderate to advanced proficiency in Python.
• Good fundamentals in probability, multivariable calculus, linear algebra.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and development.
• Motivated to learn and apply new technologies.
• Ability to accommodate a hybrid schedule (60% onsite 40% remote).

Responsibilities

• Design, architect and implement state-of-the-art AI frameworks and solutions.
• Debug, profile, and refine complex AI systems.
• Collaborate with and/or manage software engineers and scientists.
• Lead or contribute to writing reports and papers.
• Foster relationships with customers.
• Develop and manage highly innovative R&D programs.
