Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or approved surgical technology program.
• One year surgical experience is required.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support – CPR certification within 30 days.

Job Summary

As our Neuro Surgical Tech at CHI St Vincent North, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization
• Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting
• Adapt to the needs of emergency situations
• Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient
• Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes, if called for a procedure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with attendance of the core curriculum for perioperative nursing or equivalent training, upon hire or
• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program (one or two year program) or
• On‑the‑job trained within the St. Vincent Systems and
• One year surgical experience
• Basic Life Support – CPR within 30 days

Pay Range

$24.27 - $36.10 /hour
