Job summary

Christus Health in Longview, TX is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and to help ensure patient safety and well-being.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, support feeding and mobility, and document changes for nurses. BLS is required; high school diploma preferred. Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

• Provides basic patient care under nursing supervision.
• Meets OneCHRISTUS competency expectations.
• Assists with feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Answers patient calls and helps with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeds patients and measures/records food and liquid intake.
• Monitors and documents temperature, blood pressure and other vitals and reports changes.
• Assists nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
