Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an RN Resident to join the Neurological Institute. You will work with experienced caregivers and a success coach to provide direct nursing care from admission to discharge while participating in a residency program tailored to your learning needs.

This role includes ongoing education, tuition assistance, specialty certifications, and a broad range of learning opportunities designed to support your career growth at Cleveland Clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
• ACLS certification if in a Critical Care area upon hire or within first year.
• New grad or ≤1 year RN experience or transition from non-inpatient to acute care with limited current experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and revise priorities for patient care (acuity, preferences, resources).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective action.
• Seek supervision or assistance when unable to perform safely.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
