Texas NeuroRehab Center seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to support its Medical unit, providing direct patient care under physician and treatment team guidance. You will perform medical management, assessments, safe care delivery, and crisis prevention, while coordinating with the treatment team for a therapeutic milieu.

The role emphasizes efficient documentation, collaboration with families and staff, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing assessment, diagnoses, and interventions.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Ability to direct subordinates in duties.
• Ability to administer medications and monitor side-effects.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Skill in maintaining medical record documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Provide medical management and assessment of patients.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population.
• Direct the implementation of medical management programs and ensure consistent carry-through.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients, families, and others.
• Document patient care and ensure data is included in the master treatment plan.
