You will assess progress, discharge planning, coordinate with families, and promote a balanced lifestyle through leisure education; a bachelor's in therapeutic recreation and CTRS are required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field is required.
• CTRS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience facilitating recreational activities in the residence and community is necessary.
• Effective communication with families, professionals, and coworkers is essential.
• The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills, writing, planning and organization is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive recreational program for residents and the community.
• Oversee the individual recreational programs of assigned clients.
• Complete initial assessments, monitor progress, and prepare discharge plans.
• Provide direct care and assist clients to promote treatment goals.
• Assist clients with personal financial management and promote independence.
• Apply resources to facilitate a balanced lifestyle through recreation and leisure education.
