Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Austin, TX is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN work in our outpatient program. You will provide therapy in community-based and home settings, with clinical autonomy and a flexible schedule.

The role involves collaborating with a rehab team to treat adults with neurological injuries, following individualized plans, and documenting progress in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of PTA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injuries.
• Strong communication and professional written skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides PTA services supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist per treatment plan.
• Regularly discusses patient progress with the Physical Therapist.
• Assists with equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Reports equipment issues to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinates adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation.
• Maintains patient treatment and billing documentation per regulations.
• Adheres to company policies and professional standards.
• Attends staff development and continuing education per policy.
