Position Purpose: As a Physical Therapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation, you'll evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury, and balance disorders. You'll provide one-on-one, evidence-based treatment in a clinic designed to support neuro recovery and function. This role is all about helping patients maximize independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with neurological diagnoses.
Deliver one-on-one care tailored to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, motor control, gait, and functional independence for patients with neurological conditions.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate and motivate patients and caregivers to support progress both in and outside the clinic.
Collaborate and coordinate care plans with Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists, as needed, to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments and treatment outcomes.
Stay current with best practices in neuro rehabilitation through ongoing continuing education.
Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure to practice physical therapy in West Virginia.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with patients.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
