Job summary

Hartford Hospital in Connecticut is seeking an OR Nurse to serve as Circulator and Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room. You will organize and deliver individualized patient care in line with hospital policies and professional standards.

The Neuro Operating Room team treats brain and spine cases, requiring teamwork, attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. You will participate in teaching, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Current active CT RN License.
• Previous OR experience required; OR Novice nurses may apply to the OR Nurse Transition to Practice Program.
• BSN Preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication; independent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized professional patient care in the Operating Room as Circulator/Scrub Nurse.
• Organize and administer nursing care per hospital policies and standards.
• Participate in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
• Support Neuro OR team during neuro/spine surgeries to ensure patient safety.
