POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a neuro-ophthalmologist (open rank faculty) to join its clinical care team. This position will provide outpatient care at the USF Health Eye Institute and will supervise residents and fellows during their rotations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provides outpatient generalist and neuro-ophthalmology care to patients at the USF Health Eye Institute, including the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of ophthalmic conditions.
  2. Responds to clinic messages and tasks in a timely manner.
  3. Supervises and teaches residents, fellows, and medical students.
  4. Provides TGH call coverage and performs other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:

Medical degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology or Neurology residency training program. Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate, or professor. Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.

PREFERRED:

Neuro-ophthalmology clinical experience.
