Job summary

Corewell Health seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join the Neurology HOPD Grand Rapids team. In this role you’ll support inpatient and outpatient neurology care, collaborate with physicians and APPs, and help ensure smooth clinic operations in a 40-hour daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed accredited Medical Assistant training program or 1 year direct patient care in MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• Preferred BLS certification.
• Certification within the stated timelines CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff as part of the Neurology HOPD Grand Rapids team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Assist in outpatient and inpatient Neurology settings, and coordinate with physicians and APPs.
• Contribute to efficient clinic operations and patient flow.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on clinical skills

1 year direct patient care experience as MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT

1 year relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting

BLS Certification (preferred)

CMA / RMA / CCMA / NCMA / NRCMA certifications (within specified days)
