Job summary

West Allis Medical Center, part of Advocate Health, is seeking registered nurses for the 5 South: Stroke ACE Med/Surg unit. The unit focuses on neurology with a 34-bed inpatient Med/Surg setting, offering a Nurse Residency and preceptor-guided orientation.

RNs, including new grads, will work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with self-scheduling and periodic weekend/holiday rotation, in a collaborative, supportive team environment that values growth and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing program.
Active RN license in the state of practice.
BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
New grads welcome; experienced RNs welcome.

Responsibilities

Complete Nurse Residency and preceptor-led orientation.
Develop time management, triage, pharmacology, labs, and pathophysiology skills.
Coordinate patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
Provide 12-hour shift-based coverage and continuity of care.
Support diverse patient populations with compassionate care.
