Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Neurological Specialty Unit for PRN coverage. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive clinical outcomes.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, administer medications, document care, promptly respond to needs, and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN qualification in nursing licensure is required.
• One of the following degrees: Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, or RN Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt, compassionate care and respond to patient requests and needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures.
