Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Special Procedure Technician to perform radiographic imaging for invasive procedures and uphold radiation safety standards. You will record radiologic requirements for quality control and support after-hours call rotations.

Requirements include 1–3 years’ experience, ARRT-R or RT credential, TDH Certified Medical Technologist, an associate degree, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience required.
• ARRT-R Radiography or RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer.
• Current TDH certificate for Certified Medical Technologist.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support/CPR for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of physiology and positioning for optimum radiologic results during invasive procedures.
• Performs CPR when appropriate and maintains CPR certification.
• Operates and troubleshoots equipment including fluoroscopy, video recorders, and film developing/viewing systems.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and sterile techniques; positions and transfers patients; follows Radiation Protection Program.
