Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, coordinate across settings, and educate patients and families on treatments. The role requires utilizing the nursing process and demonstrates advocacy, leadership, and teamwork.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), Georgia RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS for critical care areas, with Neuro ICU or IR experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Neuro ICU experience is required.
• Neuro IR experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Georgia RN license.
• AHA BLS health care provider card required.
• ACLS certification required for critical care areas.
• New graduates must obtain ACLS within 90 days.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse, provides age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care, maintains a safe environment, educates patients and their families about healthy practices and treatment modalities, assures continuity of care, coordinates care across settings and among caregivers, manages information, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Utilizes the nursing process to provide and plan care (i.e. assessment, nurse diagnosis, planning and coordination, implementation, and evaluation). Additional roles include advocacy, performance improvement, leadership, problem solving, delegation, conflict resolution, and team player.
