We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Biron Robertson for 13-week travel roles across North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients while enjoying the excitement of travel nursing.

Required Skills, Certifications, and Experience:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience
2. First-time travelers accepted
3. Locals accepted / Rate difference applies
4. Skills: ICP Monitoring, Ventilator Management, Telemetry
5. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

Job Details:

1. Staffing Ratios: 2:1; occasionally 3:1
2. Contract Duration: 13 weeks
3. Shift: 12-hour nights
4. Float Requirement: Yes, to other ICUs and intermediate units
5. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Patient Diagnoses:

Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit Patients

Special Procedures and Unit Details:

This is a 26-bed Neuro and Surgical ICU (NSICU) within a comprehensive stroke center, caring for various neurological patients. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with stroke management, ICP management, seizure management, and critical care patient management, including titrating drips and invasive equipment.

Special Equipment:

• EVD management
• Ventilator management
• Zoll temperature management/artic sun
• PCAs

Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication):

Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Scheduling Type:

Block Scheduling

Orientation:

24 hours

Scrubs:

Navy Blue or White, or a combination of both
