Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU at MetroHealth Main Campus. You will deliver comprehensive neurological patient care, including stroke-focused assessments, NIHSS certification, and close telemetry monitoring in a multidisciplinary team.

Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a with rotating weekends and holidays. Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in neurocritical care or stroke units preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Detailed neurological assessments and stroke-focused care.
• Telemetry monitoring and management of neurological patients.
• Time management, critical thinking and delegation in a fast-paced unit.
• Seizure disorder monitoring and care; manage drains and ventilators.
