Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Clinical Nurse I - RN for the Neuroscience ICU in New York, NY. This part-time night shift role offers an opportunity to provide expert care to patients with complex brain injuries, strokes, or tumors.

In this role you will perform delicate procedures under supervision, support physicians at the bedside, and collaborate with the care team to improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 2+ years of acute care experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Current New York State RN license.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delicate procedures such as inserting central lines and pulmonary artery catheters.
• Support physicians with bedside procedures, including inserting drains in patients' skulls to reduce pressure.
• Deliver expert evidence-based care to patients in the Neuroscience ICU.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
• Participate in shared clinical decision-making and flexible scheduling.
