Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Current RN License in New York State
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• PALS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care by applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
• Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching, rounding, and planning after hospital care.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care.
• Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns.
