Job summary

Mount Carmel East's Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) with 16 beds seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-acuity neuro patient care on a 12-hour night shift. You will work within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applying evidence-based practice and Magnet-inspired nursing standards.

You will assess, plan, and document care, collaborate with families, and ensure safety and quality in every shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• For Casual RNs, 2 years of experience required.
• New graduates with less than one year may be enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care, collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a care plan.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes in accordance with standards.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
