Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Neurosurgery unit, night shift 7p-7a, PRN. The 23-bed Progressive Care Unit provides specialized neurological care and holds stroke center recognition and advanced spine care certification, ensuring high standards of treatment.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care, coordinating the nursing process, and maintaining the safest patient environment across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Add additional preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
