Job summary

Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro ICU on a full-time night shift (7pm-7am). You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with the team, and support families in a high-acuity critical care environment.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with BCLS and ACLS as preferred, with 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or compact state licensure.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP are preferred.
• Experience in acute/critical care is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and patient safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care per established protocols.
• Assess and document patient conditions; escalate changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Support physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge plans.
