Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America. It houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country, providing service excellence to over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually.
The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner functions as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions. They guide learners toward desired outcomes, assess opportunities and challenges within and outside the organization, and identify areas based on healthcare trends, legislative changes, educational gaps, emerging technologies, and staff growth desires. They actively engage with learners to support nursing professional development and ensure measurable outcomes, influencing professional role competence and growth in various settings.
