Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks an experienced Neuro ICU (Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit) nurse to provide around-the-clock critical care for patients with severe brain, spine, and nervous system conditions. You will work 12-hour day shifts in Albuquerque, contributing to a high-acuity team and ongoing patient-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Nursing licenses: active ADN/BSN/MSN and NM state or multistate license; BLS required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform frequent neuro assessments (GCS/NIHSS) and monitor neurologic status.
• Manage ICU devices, including ICP drains and vents, with focused head-to-toe care.
• Administer medications and infusions to maintain CPP and hemodynamic stability.
• Assist with emergency procedures and patient transport for imaging.
• Provide comprehensive critical care across cardiopulmonary and renal systems.
• Communicate with families about prognosis and care goals.
