Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Neuro-Hospitalist for a full-time, inpatient role in Mattoon, Illinois. The position features a 7-on/7-off cadence with night-time telemedicine support and a guaranteed salary, providing a predictable acute care practice in a collaborative hospital environment.

The ideal candidate is board-certified or board-eligible in neurology, with an MD/DO from an accredited program, an active Illinois license (or eligibility), and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently as the primary inpatient specialist during active shift blocks.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated inpatient neurological consultations and acute care management within a stroke-ready community hospital facility.
• Lead inpatient neuro-hospitalist services as the solo on-duty provider during your scheduled block, managing a highly comfortable and consistently low patient census.
• Provide Emergency Department coverage and consultations during daytime hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Utilize a flexible "round and go" clinical model, allowing you to leave campus once daily rounds are complete, remaining available to return in person for acute presentations until 7:00 PM.
• Benefit from seamless continuity of care with a dedicated night-time teleneurology service that completely covers all inpatient and ER needs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all inpatient admissions, daily rounding, and consultations.

Compensation: $435,000 annually

Location: Mattoon, Illinois

We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Neuro-Hospitalist. • Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Neurology

• Valid DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently as the primary inpatient specialist during active shift blocks
