Job summary

The Cruchaga Lab, the NeuroGenomics and Informatics (NGI) Center at WashU Medicine is recruiting a Clinical Research Study Assistant to join a large, diverse team driving neurodegenerative disease research using multi-omic data.

The role involves handling biospecimens, supporting clinical trial activities, data entry, and coordination with study personnel. Training on lab database systems will be provided and a blood draw may be required at clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
• Administrative or Research experience (2 years) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist coordinators with management of clinical trials, by creating outgoing biospecimen kits.
• Receive biospecimens from clinics, evaluate condition, enter into database, report issues.
• Track home locations and shipping of samples as needed.
• Assist with supply orders and shipments to collaborators; maintain and clean equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain documentation on specimens.
• Utilize Excel and Word; work with FileMaker Pro and Freezerworks.
• Assist phlebotomists with blood drawing duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by research team.
