Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Clinical Support Tech I for the 8 Acute Neuroscience unit in Chapel Hill. The role combines nursing assistant duties with clerical support, spanning patient transport, room setup, and basic care under supervision.

Position is full-time (36 hours/week) with 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends/holidays, offering a comprehensive benefits package and state employment with UNC Health benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Experience in patient care and clerical support is beneficial.
• Ability to perform routine clerical tasks and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with examinations and equipment.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review and transcribe orders, maintain medical records.
• Provide clinical support: clean work areas, troubleshoot software/hardware, transport patients and supplies.
• Provide personal care per plan of care (bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation) and record vital signs.
• Reinforce patient education and distribute educational materials.
