Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring unit in Phoenix, AZ. Night shift, 12 hours, 36 hours per week, with potential float to Med/Surg and Telemetry. Requires Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience, BLS/ACLS, and AZ RN license.

You will work in a 48-bed unit with epilepsy specialty rooms, using Cerner EMR, and collaborate with RT, hospitalists, and a SWAT RN for difficult IV starts. Strong assessment skills and sterile technique are essential.

Qualifications

• Active AZ RN license required at start.
• Minimum two years of acute hospital RN experience.
• Level 1 trauma and telemetry experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Pass Relias dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed).
• Strong critical thinking and neurological assessment skills.
• Driver’s license to verify 50-mile radius eligibility.
• Two professional references: supervisor and peer.

Responsibilities

• Care in Neuro Acute Epilepsy Monitoring unit within a hospital.
• Care for a 48-bed unit with epilepsy specialty rooms.
• Maintain 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios on days and nights.
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) with weekend coverage.
• Possible float to Med/Surg and Telemetry floors.
• Utilize Cerner EMR and coordinate with RT, Pharmacy, and hospitalists.
