Job description

Our client is seeking a Network Vulnerability Analyst to join their team in Washington, D.C.. As a key part of the security team, you will support various initiatives related to vulnerability management and network security.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate and manage vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Rapid7, Qualys) to ensure coverage across servers, endpoints, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.
  2. Lead the vulnerability management lifecycle from discovery to remediation and reporting.
  3. Review and triage vulnerabilities based on exploitability, CVSS scores, asset criticality, and business impact.
  4. Collaborate with IT, cloud, endpoint, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely vulnerability remediation.
  5. Create and present reports for technical and executive audiences, including metrics and risk summaries.
Qualifications
  1. 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in cybersecurity or vulnerability management.
  2. Experience with enterprise vulnerability management tools like Rapid7 InsightVM, Qualys, or Tenable.
  3. Deep understanding of the vulnerability lifecycle, scanning methodologies, and risk reporting.
  4. Knowledge of CVSS scoring and exploitability indicators.
  5. Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical risks to diverse audiences.
