Job summary

Impellam Group is seeking a Network Validation Engineer (5G/LTE) to support the integration, testing, and validation of private 4G/5G network solutions across RAN, core, management, devices, and enterprise IT/OT environments. The role focuses on building end-to-end tests, automating tests where possible, analyzing performance, and troubleshooting across the full solution.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G, including RAN and core concepts.
• Hands-on experience with network integration, system testing, or network validation.
• Experience building and executing end-to-end network test scenarios.
• Strong Python and/or shell scripting for test automation.
• Experience developing or maintaining automated test cases or test suites.
• Understanding of private network concepts including APN/DNN, QoS, segmentation, mobility, and device onboarding.
• Experience with integration, regression, functional, performance, and scalability testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across RAN, core, devices, network management, and enterprise networks.
• Strong IP networking fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing logs, alarms, network metrics, and test results.
• Experience validating network performance including latency, throughput, reliability, coverage, and scalability.
• Ability to clearly document test results, technical issues, risks, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• The Validation Engineer will design, build, and run end-to-end tests on private 5G networks across RAN, core, and management domains.
• Automate testing where possible and analyze network performance to troubleshoot issues.
• Document test results, risks, and recommendations to support implementation and optimization.
